Al Johnson was the driving force behind the Unifics. Between the early years (1966-72) and their return (2004), he recorded three solo albums, showcasing his talents as a songwriter, singer, producer, and arranger. He contributed with vocals or production in recordings by Terry Huff & Special Delivery, Roberta Flack, Whispers, and Bloodstone to name a few.

Mark Adams, Steve Arrington, Phillip Field, Buddy Henderson, Jennifer Ivory, and Mike and William Young also passed through the group. |
